Dear All:
My original problems started with the April cumulative update, so Andre Da Costa of Microsoft told me to uninstall it and for a single login Windows Hello returned to functionality. I shut down the PC (have metered connection Hotspot to connect my laptop to internet) and the very next day there was no Windows Hello, despite having blocked the same update from reinstalling. In desperation I went to Settings and removed Windows Hello, thinking I could set it up again, but now when I click setup it does nothing but give the Windows error ringtone and sit there.
So now my Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop acts as if Windows Hello was never setup but it won't let me try to set it up again.
I have wasted at least 5 or 6 hours with these idiot problems from bugs in the April 2018 cumulative update, despite having removed it and blocked it from reinstalling.
Can anyone help me setup Windows Hello again?
Please help.
Joan
