Features Update to Windows 10, version 1803

I installed the Features Update to Windows 10, version 1803 today and besides the enormous installation time, my computer now takes a considerably longer time to Restart and Shutdown than it did under version 1706. Is this to be expected with the version 1803 update or is there a problem with my computer? Is there anything I can do to shorten the Restart/Shutdown time (about 2-3 minutes) to the time I had under version 1706?
