When I try to change the startup type of certain services such as Application Identity, Microsoft Passport, Microsoft Passport Container, Radio Management Service, I get the Event ID 4098, Source Group Policy Services, "...0x80070005 Access Denied ..." in the Application Log.
(These Services are mentioned in the Services Hardening Guide fo Windows 10 and Server 2016 an are ok to deaktivate)
I made sure I got the Service names right:
AppIDSvc
NgcCtnrSvc
NgcSvc
RmSvc
Still I get the Error.
If I disable the GPP and configure the GPO via Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\System Services everything works fine. No errors in the eventlog and the Services are configured.
Any Ideas why I can't use GPP's to configure these Services?
