Hello, Been enjoying Windows 10 for the last 3 years. Every once in a while an OS update causes havoc with my machine. I think one happened again. It seems that the operation of the anti-malware software is the culprit. I leave my machine on 24 hours a day and have set Windows defender to run at 2:00 AM. It seems that the anti-malware service executable starts up at any time of the day and starts to do its thing. It can consume as much as 15 to 25% of my CPU and 20 to 25% of my disk performance. My Bluetooth Microsoft Designer mouse becomes erratic and windowing is much slower. This happened about 4 weeks ago when the latest OS update hit my machine. It has taken a very nice machine and turned it into a sluggish clunker. Any Help?
