Hello.

We have a server with the following issue: Randomly freezes, no BSOD, reboot needed. Server can freeze again after reboot and login, needs 2-3 more reboots and then server working as normal again. Sometimes it freezes 1-3 times a day, and sometimes it takes 1-2 weeks before next freeze.

Server: Lenovo x3500 M5
OS: Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard
Services running on the server: AD DS, App Server, DHCP, DNS, File and Storage Services, Print Services, SQL Server 2014, ArcServe Backup (backup to tape), Visma software, eSentral, Trend Micro Antivirus....

I have been in contact with Lenovo Support and have talked to a technician there. Updated all necessary drivers, firmwares and bios, but problem still exists. Lenovo Support changed the mother board on the server, updated everything, but still same issue. Lenovo Support says there is no hardware issue and points to Microsoft Windows or any other 3rd party software.

Event log on the server tells us that the server has frozen, but no error message about why.

SFC / SCANNOW also tells us that everything is normal on the server.

Though, there has been 2 times where there has been a BSOD, but that is 2 times of 30x freezes. Those BSOD just says that there has been a ntoskrnl.exe 168c4e / ntoskrnl.exe+ 73811 error messages.

I am hoping to get some help regarding this, as of now we have no idea what to do further. Server still freezes. Lenovo Support says there is no hardware issues. Sfc / Scannow tells us that Windows Server OS is 100%.
