Windows 10 crashing at login screen 1709 and 1803

So ever since the previous builds of windows 10 I have had no problem with boot windows. But since the new builds 1709 has caused crashes at the login screen. What happens is the system loads windows 10 and shows the log in screen for a few seconds and then the screen goes blank and is the color of the theme. And 1803 got worse at this forcing me to ditch windows 10 for windows 8.1. And I have had no boot problems since. I did try clean installs but it didn't help. I also tried replacing my Ssd and still didn't help. This is a Custom built pc for gaming.
