I got a desktop with Windows 10 and have been having problems ever since. I want to make it have a different password for sign-in, from my password for hotmail. I need step-by-step instructions that assume no knowledge. At all. I already saw where someone else wanted to do this, but their question and the replies used words and ideas not familiar to me. Thanks!
P.S. No, I don't even know what a Microsoft Account is. I never use such a thing and have no idea why I would have one. Ditto "Local" account versus whatever else there is. All I know is that Windows 10 made me use the same password for sign-in and hotmail, and I definitely don't want that.
OH and now it says I have to save my email address to my profile, just to ask this question. I don't want a profile, and I definitely don't want to make my email address public. Ugh.
