I recently installed the Windows 10 version 1803 (OS Build 17134.1) update, and now my fingerprint sign in option is no longer active on the lock/sign in screen.
Prior to installing the Windows 10 upgrade, I also installed the HP BIOS update to address the Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities.
I have created, removed and then created new fingerprints for sign in several times, but the option to use the registered fingerprint identities does not appear as an option on my lock screen. I am only able to use a password sign in on the lock screen to access Windows.
I have also confirmed several times that my Synaptics FP Sensors (WBF) (PID=003f) driver is up to date.
And I have Norton Security Suite v 22.14.0.54 installed.
