"Microsoft Account" showing in Taskbar

Yesterday the April Update installed on this computer. Everything seems to be working properly except that "Microsoft account" shows up in the Taskbar and cannot be closed. It was not present before the update and takes up valuable space on the Taskbar. Right clicking and selecting "Close Window" has no effect and neither does "Unpin from Taskbar". How do I get rid of it?
