My computer won't go to sleep. Help!

As of about 2 months ago, my computer will no longer go to sleep. The screen turns off but the fan continues to run and overheats. I'm afraid it'll catch on fire. I have a Dell XPS 13 and am on Windows 10. I feel I've tried everything that I've come across on the internet and still no luck. For some reason I have a 2 year limit on computers before they start to hate me and we just passed the 2 year mark. *sigh* Please advise on what I can try to get it to turn off.
