I recently got the April update, and since then, the Store and Kindle app icons on my task bar have gone invisible. The space for the icons are still there. If I mouse over them, the name pops up. If I left click on them they open the appropriate app. If I right click on them, nothing happens, I don't get the menu to unpin them. If I mouse over them when the app is open, it does not show the preview of open windows.
Steps I have taken to troubleshoot:
- I ran “sfc /scannow” in Power Shell as an admin
- I ran “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” in Power Shell as an admin
I also saw instructions to pull up a troubleshooting app in the store, but the instructions seem to be out of date. (The where posted 2 years ago).
Please let me know what further information I can provide. If you can tell me where to find the logs for the SFC and DISM, I would be happy to provide them.
