Hi I have a desktop, a laptop and a tablet, all with the same Microsoft account. I have downloaded the Spring Update on all three and just worked out how to "share" files & folders amongst my three computers and my husband's computer - through "nearby sharing". With mixed results.
The file sharing technique works between the desktop and the tablet and vice versa. But the file sharing does not work between the desktop & laptop and vice versa; neither does it work between the tablet and laptop and vice versa. It seems to me therefore that the problem stems from the laptop but I cannot find out why.
If I share from laptop to either of the other computers I get the message "the device you are trying to share with did not respond". And I get the same message if I try to share TO the laptop.
As far as I can see the settings for file sharing are identical on all three machines!!
Any Ideas anyone???
