Keyboard nonfunctional after installing Win10 v.1803 on my Surface Pro

After installing Win10 v.1803 on my almost new Surface Pro, the keyboard/cover no longer works. When I attach it to the tablet, I get the "connect" sound, and then almost immediately the "disconnect" sound, which repeats every second until I detach the keyboard. Other system drivers are having problems as well, but that one has seriously reduced the functionality of my tablet.


I have run the troubleshooter, and attempted to uninstall the driver, and then reboot to reinstall, with no effect.


Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.
