How do I change the date on an MPG, MTS or AVI Video file ?

I am trying to change the date on a number of old MPG video files.

I am running Windows 10 Home Edition


I right click on the file, go to properties, then the details tab.


For photo files (JPG), I can modify the the "Date Taken" property.

For .WMV or .MP4 Video files, I can modify the "Media Created" property which updates the date.


However, for .mpg, .mts and .avi, I cannot edit any properties on the details tab, not the date, not even tags or comments.


I saw some other threads that mentioned third party applications, but there must be a Microsoft answer for this.


Please advise.

Or at least explain.
