Constant sound issues with Realtek Sound. Suddenly no sound at all.

I have troubleshot the heck out of this problem. My speakers were working fine this morning however tonight I cannot get sound all. Getting error messages regarding Nvidia which there is no hdmi connection for sound of any kind. Uninstalled the nvidia sound driver. Problem remains. Reinstalled latest Realtek driver. Problem remains. The troubleshooter just keeps me in a loop of constantly restarting my computer. Is there a known bug regarding sound issues or am I special?
