Homegroup

I'm a little ticked that I no longer have homegroup. I have tried all the other options that have been given to me except for onedrive (can't afford and don't trust clouds) but out of 6 computers only 2 show up on the network. I even called Microsoft to see if they would help me and they told me to go to support.microsoft.com and try to get help there. Even their own techs don't know what the hell they are doing? Is there anyone who can help me?
