Folder Redirection Server: Win Server 2012R2
We are noticing a ongoing issue where if a client goes to delete a item (document/pdf/jpg etc...) off their desktop, or out of an associated folder-redirection folder, it will go directly into the recycle bin as it should normally. On the client side, upon purging the recycle bin, the recycle bin will buffer, and calculate...Keep in mind that the Recycle Bin is all part of the Folder Redirection. At the point in time where the Recycle Bin begins to calculate and buffer, then the Folder Redirection server becomes somewhat unresponsive, and the Client workstations will then become fully unresponsive as well. Very bad chain reaction, where the only way of fixing this temporarily is by rebooting the Folder-Redirection Server. After the server has been rebooted, this issue will go away for a few days and the clients can purge their recycle bin like normal, and then suddenly the issue will come back again. We are not sure what is causing this kind of behavior. Could it possibly be a memory dump that is taking place?
We reviewed the event logs, nothing outstanding. We have rebuilt users' profiles, and we have also checked out the CPU and Memory usage of the server when this happens, and everything is showing normal.
Very stumped here, and wondering if anyone has experience this before with Folder Redirection?
