New windows 10 not seeing sandisk clip sport plus mp3 player

Brand new last week hp windows 10 laptop. One month old sandisk clip sport plus player. Used the player once or twice on this machine last week to load podcasts and music. Today it won't turn on, computer doesn't recognize it when plugged in. Tried two different new cables. Restarted the service and set it to automatic. Suggestions appreciated.
