Is there any way to runs The Sims 2 on Windows 10?

It needs directx 9.0c so I find a place to download that, but it says I need to be running Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 Family to run it. How can I play The Sims 2?
