I am using Windows 10, and whenever I boot up my computer I'm met with a huge amount of system Error messages reading:
The code execution cannot proceed because
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\windows.storage.dll was not found.
Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.
This happens with many programs when I try to run them, so when my computer boots there are a bunch of programs attempting to open but not being able to. I can, however, open Firefox and File Explorer.
My windows.storage.dll still exists in the specified folder.
The problem began after I improperly shutdown my computer during the launch of a steam game (by holding down the power button until it turned off).
I have tried using sfc /scannow and chkdsk /r and /f in the command prompt in safe boot mode, but nothing has worked.
I can't run .exe files, as the same error message still pops up.
Any help would be appreciated.
