Hi there. Around the 14th of April, or at least I believe is when it started, I noticed a bug. Everytime I hit Escape (hereby referred to as Esc) I would be tabbed out or it wouldn't register at all. In every single game I've tried this on (PUBG, CS:GO, Overwatch, Clustertruck, Dota 2, Rocket League, Brawlhalla and more) whenever I hit Esc it sorts of tabs me out of my game. Here's some examples:
PUBG: Open map/Pause the Game (essentially anything that requires Esc) hit Esc to close out of it, I am now tabbed out of the window. Not visually, I am still on that window, but the mouse is visible as if I have tabbed into some kind of "invisible" window. I am trapped on this screen, and cannot move the mouse to my other monitor. Hitting Esc tabs me back into the game, in addition to Alt+Tab.
Overwatch: Open pause menu/Go back on main menu (anything that needs esc again), I'm tabbed out. Hit Esc, and I'm back and can interact with things.
I haven't noticed this anywhere else, except in Discord. If you're in Discord, sometimes you will get new messages on a server. You will get a "NEW MESSAGE" bar right above where the new messages start. If you hit Esc or leave and come back to this channel/server, you'll get rid of it. If my Esc worked normally, this bar would disappear, but it doesn't. In addition, little menus/popups that can appear inside the app that can be Esc'd don't work either. In things like Firefox and such it does work fine. This issue has happened on three keyboards, which is why I believe it to be a Windows 10 issue.
Specs:
Ryzen 5 1600X
MSI Tomahawk B350
EVGA G3 650W PSU
G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3000Mhz 2x8GB RAM
EVGA GTX 980Ti SC+
Corsair K70 Keyboard
Corsair M65 RGB Mouse
Prior to making this post I updated my BIOS, Graphics Drivers, Corsair Utility Engine and Windows to the latest version. Windows update (1803) didn't change anything, so because it caused more issues than the one I hoped it could fix, I rolled back to the Fall Creator's version.
One last thing, the reason I believe it started on April 14th was because that was when Windows launched an updated Fall Creator's version, and I first noticed it around that time. However, I believed it could also be the GPU Drivers because those were updated on the 12th, and I believe I updated my BIOS in that period as well. But, since I updated all these things and eliminated the possibility of any of these I'm at a lose for ideas.
