I have two servers that just began rebooting on a seemingly random basis (for
about 2 days now). Sometimes it will happen within 15 mins of being booted
up, other times it might be 6 hours between reboots. It does so without any
warning, and no error messages. The only thing remaining afterwards that
indicates the event is the presence of the standard event in the event log
indicating an unscheduled shutdown.
For example: (Source: EventLog, ID: 6008)
"The previous system shutdown at 4:11:43 PM on 7/10/2007 was unexpected."
I looked around in event viewer for different errors happening just before
that time that might be related, but there are none... I was looking for
something that might trigger it.
BTW both of these servers are running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2 SP2
(x86).
Please tell me any suggestions you may have for troubleshooting or solving
this matter.
Thanks in advance.
