I've seen a few posts on this but no confirmed solution. Every Server 2016 machine I've create lately will not search for anything from the Start Menu that didn't come preinstalled as part of Windows.
E.g. I installed the Hyper-V and Failover Cluster Manager roles.
If I press Start and type "hyper", I only get Turn Windows Features on or off
If I type "fail" I get no results.
If I type "note" I get Notepad since that came with Windows by default.
If I install AD Users & Computer and then type "User", I will get the Local Users & Groups but not AD Users and Computers.
I don't recall always have this issue but it's come up on every server lately and it's really annoying. I have to go into Server Manager and use the Tools dropdown list in order to run anything I've added in. Is this Broken as Designed or is something wrong that I can change a setting to fix it?
Thanks!
