Hey guys, two days ago my windows server 2012 R2 (Working as DHCP, DNS and Domain Controller/Active Directory) stopped working. I've tried to recover but no success, so I made a clean install and, for the better, I installed windows server 2016 (working the same as 2012 R2). The problem is, we've never made a backup of domain users (neither windows restore points) and all the network is still using their accounts in offline mode (logging in without the domain controller using only the local saved credentials from the domain account). We've reinserted some computers in the new domain but, as expected, the older account was lost (these computers had no important information so no problem to lose the account and it's configuration). There are many users on the network using their accounts, for example, for monetary management pourposes and we can't lose the configurations.
I still have an mirrored HDD from the old domain but the windows won't boot anymore. There is a way I can preserve the information or migrate it back to the new domain?
