Videos won't play in browsers

After the latest Windows Update I can't get videos to play. I had to restart Chrome and clear my cache to get videos to play but now there isn't any sound. I've tried Edge and Explorer and neither of them will play a video and there's no sound either on those two browsers. I think it's bull that I can't play videos nor have sound after an update is foisted upon me.
