low disk space warning on d drive

Last week MS downloaded another major update to Windows 10 Pro on my Dell laptop. Ever since I continually receive Low Disk Space warnings for my local d drive. It shows I only have 7% left. Never had this issue before the last update and I've not added anything to the drive since the update. I have actually deleted a lot of PDF files from it but it did not change space availability. What could be causing this problem?
