Ever since I bought my computer I have had intermittent save issues writing data to the SSD, particularly when I change a setting in Windows or an Application. For instance I changed the resolution on Borderlands 2 when it opened the menu for the first time running the game and it resorted to the default graphics settings straight away. When I exited the game and reopened the game the menu was there with all the original settings.
Recently, I went to upload a screenshot with a caption on to the Steam screenshots server. It initially uploaded the image and the caption, but when I went back to the local screenshots menu for the game (another game) it was showing it as yet to be uploaded.
Likewise earlier on I remember running a disk clean-up utility and then noticing the next time I had started Windows it was as if nothing had happened.
I've tried to disable write caching, disabling fast startup, but to no avail. I am hoping that the issue is not the SSD itself, just Windows.
I also have two storage HDDs (standard mechanical types) which have had no problems with this at all.
There are no error messages when writing data to the SSD and this issue is rare. But nonetheless is does happen enough to be a nuisance.
If there is anybody who works with computer hardware and Windows in a professional capacity that can help me solve this conundrum, it would be appreciated.
Cheers
