Cortana not working after Windows update

Cortana has stopped interacting after updating windows 10 to the newer build. when the mic button beside the windows start menu (in the cortana panel) is clicked it shows "Listning..." then after few seconds shuts down abruptly.....


Any help would be appreciated.Thank you
