After being forced into reinstalling Windows 10 after the failed update, I have just copied my files out of windows.old.000 into my current folders. I noticed they were suddenly all marked with 'synching', but had no idea why. I have just discovered that they are being uploaded into my apparently newly created OneDrive account, something I don't want to happen. Why oh why does Microsoft think it has the right to dictate to people what they do with their files and data? I can't seem to stop the upload, but I will have to go in and delete everything when it is done.
I am totally fed up with this update and the continuing unwanted affects. I also don't appear to have a profile account under my name anymore, everything is tied to the email address I used when I was forced to create a Microsoft account when I first got this laptop with Windows 10 newly installed, so I am now going to have to find out what is going on with that as well.
As for the enforced PIN login 'being more secure', I now log in to my laptop using a 4 digit number and nothing else, and it just logs straight in. How on earth is that more secure than a proper password?
