Possibility to select sound card for softwares? (specifically asking those who restrains VEGAS 15.0)

Problem:

My question concerns a problem whereby my speakers are not cooperating correctly, so they play audio at the same time. However the problem does not apply for other softwares than VEGAS 15.0: VEGAS plays audio on the computer-speaker, meanwhile for example Youtube plays audio on my headset-speaker. I have not managed to find a setting in VEGAS that will set the speaker to default (my headset, when plugged in). However I did find a setting in settings > sound > settings for app-volume and devices (see enclosed picture), but all was set to standard/default, so nothing I could do there.

However I don't want a fix to apply for anything else than VEGAS, because I want to maintain the default for other output-adjustments. Thanks for further assistance!

More details:

I have the opposite problem than to this thread: "Is it possible to have speakers and HDMI play at the same time? (Is it possible to have speakers and HDMI play at the same time? - 2009)". And the same problem as this thread: "Possibility to select sound card? (Possibility to select sound card? - 2016)", however the answers did not help me further.

So, my problem is that both speakers (Logitech G430 Gaming Headset (standard) and Realtek High Definition Audio (enabled)) plays the audio at the same time. I've tried to do the following as explained in the thread, except done the opposite from 6.-7.:

  1. Open Sound panel
  2. Select Speakers as the default playback device
  3. Go to the "Recording" tab
  4. Right click and enable "Show Disabled Devices"
  5. A recording device called "Wave Out Mix", "Mono Mix" or "Stereo Mix" (this was my case) should appear
  6. Right click on the new device and click "Enable"
  7. Right click on the new device and click "Set as Default Device"
  8. Double click on the new device to open the Properties window
  9. Go to the "Listen" tab
  10. Click on the "Listen to this device" checkbox
  11. Select your HDMI device from the "Playback through this device" list
And you're done, the drawback is that you won't have a microphone selected as default recording device, but for what concerns me I couldn't care less.

To fix my problem, I have also tried troubleshooting (settings > sound), and;

"Opposite click on the speaker icon in the task bar. Click on Playback Devices. Set your external audio interface as the default. Leave your internal enabled, just not default.

Windows should now use your external interface as default when you turn it on. When it's off it should roll over to your internal card. That is how it is working on my setup." (Possibility to select sound card?).
