Mouse pad causing typing errors

I have set mouse pad to the lowest sensitivity that I can. It gets annoying when typing that if I touch it and didn't know I did sometimes the cursor ends up where I do not want it. This messes up my typing. I have a mouse attached to the computer. I would like away to turn off the touch pad when I am using the mouse.
