Guys
Need some help. My laptop is currently acting weird. It's battery indicator is showing it's in charging status even when it is NOT plugged in to a power adapter. The battery itself seems to be ok as it is draining normally during usage and gets charged up when I plugged it in for charging. But when I unplugged the laptop from the power adapter, it continues to says it's "plugged in, charging". This started to happen after install a windows update.
I had tried all the following actions below but it does not fix anything. I will appreciate any suggestion to fix this.
- Shut Down and Reboot
- Uninstall all previous windows update.
- Reformat the laptop to fresh install windows
- Uninstalling Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and reboot it to allow it to auto re-install
- Triple check there is no short / dirt in the charging port that could cause any short.
