To continue this thread which was locked long ago but seemed to demonstrate the same problem
Why is Windows 10 compressing memory when I appear to have plenty available. this was his result
and this is mine
Windows seems to try very hard to not pass 16, and when it does, it quickly pushes it back by bloating the page file, something which I can feel since even on SSD's, page file resizing creates lag. I'm going to have to set a fixed size on all my drives to fix this part, but there seems to be a strange in built behavior suppressing direct ram usage to 16GB. I know the rest claims to be cache, perhaps the caching preference behavior is too aggressive?
