Raid 1 volume not accessible after wake from sleep

Periodically, when my desktop wakes from a sleep state the Raid1 volume does not appear under disk manager and the E:\ drive is not accessible. If I right click on disk drives and select "Scan for Hardware Changes" the volume immediately shows up. This started occurring in the last few months after a windows update. Is there a way to fix this.
