Hey there!
I'm struggling with my headphones (everest 700 from jbl) They used to work well before the 2018 feature update. After the update the settings have been changed: namely in the control panel through devices and printers the headphones have in the properties -> services more services toggled and active. Worst of them is the telephony option that when active creates in the playback devices menu a copy of the headphones that is set as a default device. This causes the sound to be only played and prioritized through that copy device path which breaks the sound into an actual telephone quality nightmare.
Pre the 2018 feature update, I could simply disable this ridiculous and useless telephony option for the jbl headphones. [In case you at windows are unaware: ANC headphones have an amplitude cancelling mic built in which might create the issue of trying to read the headphone mic and thus create a handsfree device! Oh boy, lazy code! The ANC mic is simply built in for the amplitude cancelling function in the headphones] Anyways, after the update disabling the service simply breaks apart the playback. The headset will connect as is indicated by the headset audibly announcing "connected" yet I cannot activate the correct sound path (in the playback devices menu) the jbl everest headphones will not enable, but are stuck in disabled mode.
Hope you can help me solve the issue. More info about the headphones services: (tried disabling them one by one and none seemed to have a noticeable effect)
