I've got a HP Pavilion 15. It's a few years old. But it's fast and is perfect for everything.
I REALLY want to have 2 or more monitors.
I've bought many USB3 monitor adapters from Amazon.
All have failed.
I started with the cheapest ones (with 4 stars or above reviews). Failed.
Then I went for much more expensive ones - very well reviewed. Failed.
All start off OK. You;ll get the odd flicker - screen goes off for 1 second.
Heck, I can live with that.
But then... constantly... every 30 seconds it happens - after a few days of use.
My brother has a Dell laptop with a Dell USB3 monitor adapter.
His works fine! No problems at all!
What am I doing wrong?
Are some laptops better than others?
I have 'Integrated Intel HD 5100 Graphics'. Is this the problem?
If I get another laptop with graphics card included... will this solve my problems?
I'd consider getting a new laptop - but don't want to if then end up with the same problem.
Some guidance would be great. Thanks.
