Cannot print from my laptop

I just bought a Dell Laptop, but when I select a printer, my default printer does not show up. When I add it, it shows "error" and I am unable to print even a test page. In addition, my printer's name (ENVY 5530) is included in the list of my Wifi connections. I need help.
