SSD Drive Permissions

I think I may have messed up some of my permissions on my D drive. I have the permissions ownership set as administrator but it does not allow applications, such as steam, to install games to my D drive unless I run the application as administrator. This used to never happen and it just recently appeared as I was messing around with my settings. Does anyone know the reason for this or what the default permissions for my D drive should be?
