Windows 10 reliability suffering after April 2018 Update - Please help

Windows 10 has become extremely unreliable ever since I updated my PC to the April 2018 Update. Something is causing all of this, and I need a sure fix that doesn't involve disabling Windows Search (I've already tried that), initializing my computer with a fresh copy of Windows 10, resetting my computer, or refreshing my computer.

  • File Explorer is overall unreliable and makes me wish I could use something else. The 'address bar' keeps turning green, indicating it's searching for something - in this case, the icons - even though the drive(s) are clearly doing nothing.
  • Groove Music has a one in five chance of opening an audio file. Most of the time, the window is overall blank. No audio is even heard.
  • Task View has turned into a dangerous tool to render the desktop useless, unless - by some miracle - I restart Windows Explorer. When I click on an app, it does an animation, then the screen freezes on both my desktop and an ugly view of what was happening earlier in Task View.
  • The icons on the taskbar sometimes randomly disappear, but the icon for Windows Store remains.

If there is any kind of fix for this issue, please leave them as replies to this post, and don't send them to my private messages... or whatever.

If I have to live with an operating system that - in my opinion - is less reliable than Windows Vista, I'm going to be absolutely devastated.
