Backup to share fails after server restart

We have a daily scheduled Windows Server Backup from a 2012 R2 Server to a 2008 R2 Server. If the 2008 R2 Server is restarted the next daily backup fails with error 0x8007003b. Subsequent backups work okay. It is only the first daily after the restart that fails.
