Windows Update hosed after adding features

I installed Windows Server 2016 yesterday from an image file I downloaded from our volume licensing portal some time ago. After the Windows installation completed, I used Windows update to apply the latest updates. It applied two updates.

I then installed a number of Windows features, some of which (.NET) had to have the original installation disk referenced as the source. Since the original installation disk was older, I tried to run Windows Update again. However, I now get an error "Some update files aren't signed correctly. Error code: (0x800b0109)".

I then downloaded and ran the Windows Update Troubleshooter. It came up with "Potential Windows Update Database error detected." One of the suggestions was to uninstall and reinstall the updates. I was able to uninstall one of the updates, after which I had to restart the server. When I checked the updates after the restart, I saw that KB 23200970 had be installed (reinstalled?) today. Now, none of the installed updates give me the option to uninstall, and I still get the original error with trying to find updates. The Troubleshooter still says there is a potential Windows Update database error.

What do I need to do to correct this?

Thank you very much for your help with this.
