Unauthorized changes blocked, specifically C:\...DDVDataController...

After a recent Microsoft update, I started receiving notifications about "Unauthorized changes blocked". Specifically "Controlled folder access blocked C:\...DDVDataController... from making changes to memory". I did a basic search online and found that it is associated with the Dell Data Vault (I have a Dell Inspiron 3558). I tried to find it as an application/program on my computer but a search came up empty. I did find three separate processes in the Task Manager with "Dell Data Vault" in the name, but I have no clue what they do or why Windows Defender is sending me notifications about it. I am of course out of warranty on my Dell, so I cannot get help there and the community has nothing started that I could find about this issue. I have a few questions. What exactly is it? Should it be allowed access? If yes, how do I allow access? If no, how do I stop the notifications, uninstall, stop processes?
