Windows 10 won't let me download images !

I used to be able to look up an appropriate Image for a Facebook post. Since my latest unwanted Windows 10 update I find the image, try to download but instead of the image I get "Package cannot be registered", "OK" . Well it's not OK! I want my images! is there something I can do to get my computer to function the way it used before MICROSOFT fixed it? Or should I just junk Windows and go Apple. They are more money but I am willing to spend a little to avoid the on going massive FRUSTRATION!
