I have a usb stick given me with some content (movies) on it, which I copied to my main Windows10 system successfully.
A few days later, I find that the system does not recognize it. It appears in device manager as a "Portable Device" with drive letter D, but seems to be inaccessible. If I try to switch to D in the command line I get the message "The device is not ready "
In Devices and Printers it appears as a Mass storage Device with functions "Generic USB Flash Disk USB Device" and "USB Mass storage Device"
I wonder if it is relevant that in between it had been plugged into a computer with software for handling a mobile broadband dongle. Has its mode been switched? How can I switch it back?
Pls Help Me! Seriously in trouble!
