Thanks to Greg's advice I did a clean install of Windows 10, following the update which trashed my desktop and several programmes I had been working on. Little did I know that when you update your back ups that just detailing the 'C' Drive or whatever does not back up the desktop or the data thereon. So that was pretty disastrous but hey no one has died!
However I now need to reinstate fully the home network I previously had. Whilst I have a network of sorts up and running when using my laptop My wife's PC (Windows 7) 'G' drive is not recognised and it contains all her data. It seems that this recent Windows Update has issues with Partitions and that may be behind my difficulty but has anyone any ideas please?
