Troubleshoot Options

I use a Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10. I want to reset the computer, but I'm having an issue. After I hold down left shift and restart the tablet, it brings me to the menu with the troubleshoot options. But every time I open troubleshoot, it brings me automatically to the advanced options and won't let me go back. Therefore, I can't reset my PC. What do I do?
