I turned off the computer during and update and now have a black screen. Is this something that can be fixed?

I turned off the computer during an update because it appeared different than the usual Microsoft update and I was concerned that it was not valid. My husband and I both have user pages. His updated several days before and is fine. I just tried to get on my page after several days of not using the computer (after I shut it off) and after I enter the password (I am the administrator) and now I have a black screen. Is there any fix to this? Thank you.
