Unable to find the newly installed softwares in the start and need to reinstalled the whenever there is a need to use it

Hi all,

I am facing this issues from the last one week. I have installed two new applications atom IDE and SLACK on my windows 10 pc. But, I couldn't able to find them even in the start menu and need to reinstall them whenever there is a need to use them. The issue is terrible. Please help me.
