NOTE: The reason I am asking here instead of Dell is because I have already asked Dell. A member of that community directed me here for help. This is because my laptop- the Inspiron 5379 Signature Edition one- was purchased specifically from a Microsoft store. Here is a link to the original post:

I apologize- I realize 'Windows' wasn't the best category to list this problem under, but I wasn't sure where else to list it.

I have an Inspiron 5379 Signature Edition laptop (CORE i5 processor). It came with a pen; the battery is in correctly, for it is in the position the instruction manual tells me to put it in. However, one thing the manual didn't tell me was how to pair the pen to my laptop.

It has no top button, only two on the side. I know not the proper name for the pen. All I know is that it simply won't connect.

My laptop's Bluetooth is on. I've tried pressing the top button for ten seconds- that didn't work. I've tried pressing the bottom button for ten seconds- that didn't work. I even tried pressing them both at the same time for ten seconds- still not discoverable.

There are other silly and specific methods of connecting I've tried, but none have worked.

I also do not have a service tag for this pen in my posession. I did have it, but it got thrown away. :l
