Okay so just 2 days ago I upgraded to Windows 10 for free via Microsoft. I have an iBuyPower computer. I downloaded the Windows 10 upgrade installer from Microsoft and started to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It upgraded successfully and even registered my product key automatically I did not have to enter it and when I looked in my computer it did indeed say that it was an activated copy of Windows 10.
Windows 10 was working perfectly except for one problem which is the biggest problem for me. I mine cryptocurrency with my graphics card. After upgrading to Windows 10 I used ddu and uninstalled my Graphics drivers. then I restarted my computer and installed the latest drivers from AMD ( I also tried previous versions and these did not solve my problems). it appears the Windows 10 upgrade remove all opencl support for my GPU. This is a huge issue as the mining programs use opencl and now no mining programs will recognize my graphics card. Windows recognize is it in device manager just fine but when I checked in gpu-z the opencl box is unchecked and I cannot recheck it.
After 24 hours of not being able to fix this I decided that Windows 10 was junk and wanted to go back to my Windows 7. In Windows 10 it told me I have 10 days to go back to my previous OS if I did not like Windows 10. so I followed the instructions on Windows and began to downgrade back to my old Windows 7 OS .
3 hours later the computer tries to reboot on its own, I'm thinking to myself great the downgrade is completed. I'm waiting for Windows to boot back up and I'm greeted with a lovely black screen that says something about startup repair or launch Windows normally. I tried to launch normally I tried to launch normally the window screen pops up and hangs for about 2 minutes and then the computer automatically restart I am then given that same black screen with the same two options so this time I try to do the repair and it instantly freezes my mouse stops moving and my keyboard stops working everything is completely Frozen at this point the only way to get back to that black screen yet again is to power down and then power back on.
Now I'm sitting here with a computer that obviously had an issue while downgrading doesn't even boot windows. This is 100% Microsoft fault a quick Google search returns tons of people with the same exact problem.
For the record I do not have any Windows CDs or recovery CDs my computer did not come with any it only came with one CD which is the drivers for the motherboard . I also dont have the capability to create a ISO on USB because I don't have a working computer to make one on. let alone I don't even know how to make one.
Microsoft owes me an explanation for this, my computer was working perfectly before the upgrade/downgrade. Now I don't have a working computer at all and I'm very pissed off.
